Their platform sits at the core of enterprise AI adoption, allowing organisations to move beyond low risk use cases and integrate AI into critical workflows with confidence.
The Role
This is an early, high impact hire working directly with the Founder.
You’ll take ownership of extending an already capable system shipping new functionality, improving production robustness & contributing to architectural direction from day one.
There is clear scope to grow into technical leadership as the team scales.
The Challenge
The system is designed to evolve, continuously extending its own capabilities over time.
As a result, control and safety cannot be layered on externally.
They need to be built into how the system operates.
This is a fundamentally different engineering problem, requiring a tightly coupled approach to capability, governance and system design.
Requirements

7+ years’ experience at Senior or Staff level

Strong grounding in functional programming

Track record of building complex production systems (beyond standard CRUD)

Experience shipping LLM-enabled products (agents, orchestration, retrieval, etc.)

Comfortable operating in high-ambiguity environments
-
Strong bias toward delivery and iteration

Interest in taking on broader technical ownership over time
Nice to Have

Experience with Elixir, Erlang, or other BEAM languages

Background in otherfunctional languages such as Haskell, Scala, OCaml

They’re engineering a next-generation platform designed to handle tens of millions of messages with ultra-low latency, fault tolerance, and true distributed system resilience. With early traction secured, they’re now scaling the R&D team to push performance, reliability, and architecture to the next level.
Candidate
What you’ll be responsible for building:
- Real-time messaging infrastructure at massive scale
- Distributed systems using Elixir and Phoenix Liveview
- Clustering, presence, and fault-tolerant architectures
- Backend-driven reactive UI
What you’ll own:
Core platform infrastructure end-to-end
Scalability, reliability, and production performance
Real-time system behaviour under heavy load
Requirements
- Significant professional experience building high volume, distributed infrastructure in Elixir
- Knowledge of deep networking fundamentals (UDP/TCP)
- Understanding of multi-threading/multi-processing
- Familiarity with Ai products
Nice to have:

This role would be within the Integration focused-team.
Candidate
What you'll do:

Connect leading AI frameworks (LangChain, Crew.AI, AutoGen) to their platform

Build high-throughput integrations with AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, and major LLM providers

Create the standards for AI agent communication protocols
